Volume 2 introduces the protagonist’s eccentric coworker, Shota, who begins to disrupt the protagonist’s carefully maintained distance from his girlfriend, Mao. As Shota’s unpredictable behavior creates tension, the protagonist is forced to confront his own rigid principles regarding relationships.
