Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Pink Hanamori. The story follows Lucia, the mermaid princess of the North Pacific Ocean, who travels to the human world in search of her stolen magical pearl. To protect herself and aid in her search, she transforms into a human girl and discovers she can sing magical spells that defeat antagonists. The manga was serialized in Nakayoshi from 2003 to 2007 and spans seven collected volumes. It was adapted into an anime series in 2004.
