Outlaw Star is a Japanese animated series (seinen) directed by Mitsuru Hongo and released in 1998. The story follows Gene Starwind and his partner Jim Hawking, who run a small business on the planet Blue Heaven. Their lives change when they become involved with a mysterious woman named Suzuka and acquire the highly advanced XGP15A-II spaceship, also known as the Outlaw Star. The series focuses on the crew’s adventures as they search for a legendary treasure called the Galactic Leyline. The show blends science fiction with space western elements and is known for its action sequences and character-driven storytelling.
